Installation Overview

Before You Begin

  • Inspect panels thoroughly and do not install damaged materials.

  • Prepare wall surfaces by ensuring they are clean, smooth, and free of loose coverings or dust.

  • Priming may be required depending on the surface type and environmental conditions.

  • Conduct adhesion tests on painted, drywall, plywood, or existing wallcoverings to ensure proper bonding.

Surface Preparation

  • New drywall or plaster: smooth, tape, and dust-free surfaces are required; allow plaster to cure for 30+ days.

  • Painted surfaces: test adhesion in a discreet area; remove or seal unstable paint.

  • Particle board, plywood, MDF: clean thoroughly and sand smooth if needed.

  • Existing wallcoverings: remove loose sections, clean, and dry thoroughly.

  • Concrete & masonry: ensure cleanliness, dryness, and structural soundness; fill holes and cracks.

Tools Needed

  • 8” laminate roller

  • 9” x 3/8” nap roller

  • Pencil

  • Utility knife

  • Tape measure

Installation Steps

  1. Dry-fit panels to plan placement and marking plumb lines for alignment.

  2. Make all necessary cuts and drillings before applying adhesive; allow a 1/8” clearance around fixtures and frames.

  3. Apply adhesive to wall in panel-width sections using a roller, ensuring full coverage but avoiding over-curing.

  4. Align and gently press the panel starting from the plumb line edge, smoothing with a laminate roller to remove air pockets.

  5. Repeat for each panel, cleaning any excess adhesive immediately with mild soap and water before it cures.

  6. Maintain HVAC conditions between 60–75°F and 30–55% humidity for 14 days before, during, and after installation to ensure optimal adhesion.
